Is there someone else? 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
I've had a condition for 5 years now that no specialist can diagnose. I'm doing my own research to see if there is someone else that has had the same problem & it has been due to headaches/migraines.

I have a constant fogginess or tightness in my forehead that is all the time. I do suffer from the occasional migraine, but frequent headaches. But the feeling is like a 'migraine hangover', even if I haven't had a migraine. Almost like I'm outside of my body.
I've had head CT done, bloods, xrays etc to try & find the cause, but everything is normal.
I've been to psychiatrics, psychologists, chiro etc, but nothing seems to help. I was on medication for 6 months for anxiety/panic disorder, but it didn't help.

I do have a panic disorder from it, but not even the anxiety specialists have heard of having the fogginess constantly. I don't even drive far by myself, because of the feeling.
It seems to be worse on really cloudy days.

Has anyone had a similar thing??

Had enough....

Hi Ronnie,

sorry to hear about the problems you have been having.
My mum (75) has had a similar thing to you - minus migraines - for about the same length of time. She has foggy head, dizzy, 'hears' an engine like noise that no one else can hear, can't sleep etc. Has been to as many docs as well, with no success. Says no one believes her. All started when neighbours put in a pool outside her bedroom and renovated their house! No problems before that.
I have recently had a call into Brain Foundation office from a lady who told me about 'Electro Hyper Sensitivity'. Basically electro magnetic radiation fields that can affect 'sensitive' people. Things like mobile phones, new curly light globes, wireless internet etc. There was also recently a story on one of the night time TV shows about the magnetic fields interacting with water (in pipes) etc. People who cannot sleep in their own bedrooms because of unknown noise, interference. You need to break the cycle with plastic - I understand.
I think all of this warrants some further investigation. You can google up some information and see if you think it relates to you. You can also get people to come to your house to take readings to see if this is the cause. Don't know who, electricians I guess.

Does anyone else have these problems? Can anyone help or shed any light?
Let us know, it may be that with enough evidence, we can investigate further.

I've had the same thing since the beginning of March this year, I always describe mine as a fuzzyness, tingling or numbness. So I assume we are talking about the same thing?
I say I get Migraines based on the fact that I get a Aura (A flickering multi-coloured line with zig zags in it - it starts small and grows out to a C shape) which lasts about 20 minutes.

Near the end of last year my Migraines were getting more frequent - Perhaps 1 or 2 a month. In Feb I had a bad week where I had 4 in one long weekend. Since then I have had the same cloudiness you are describing, plus a tension or 'pulling' feeling on either side of the forehead or on the temples - It's never in more then one place i.e. I only have one of the feelings at any one time. From there it got worse, my cheek bones would ache, some times my sinuses and/or it would feel like my ears were a bit blocked and my vision would seam blurry.

For the last 2-3 months I have been seeing an Osteopath - this has helped me quite a bit. We got rid of the aching cheek bones, sinuses and ears. I am now just left with the cloudiness, tension and pulling sensations. It was a mixture of bad posture, dehydration, unhealthy diet and not enough food and really tight muscles around my neck - probably from when I hurt my neck back in school. Someone even commented yesterday that I no longer have black bags under my eyes - which I always had.

I'm not sure where to go next with the left over symptoms though... The Osteo's latest angle is completely stripping back my diet to brown rice, green vegetables and fish. It's been 2 weeks now and So far... i think there is improvement in the intensity and frequency, but I have also had a very easy couple of weeks at work, so I don't actually know whether it's helping or not - I will keep you posted though. I also started doing yoga 2 weeks ago.

The migraines seams to be about 4-6 weeks apart - since I started seeing the osteo.

Have you tried an Osteopath?

I also experience these symptoms you have mentioned. Every morning I wake up with a mild headache. I have constant tension in my temples and neck/shoulders. I never feel like I have a clear head and I am really beginning to feel frusterate by this. I have forgotten what its like to wake up and feel well rested.

Thanks for you post on 'Electro Hyper Sensitivity'. I will definitely look into this as I have a watertank outside my room which is linked to areas in our house and run very close to where I sleep.

Yes I would say I experience 'fogginess'. I have referred to it as feeling 'dull'. I would say that some days I am vague too. My Endep that I take for my 6.5 year old chronic headache seems to have me waking up feeling hungover every morning although alcohol is a rare drink these days. I had to retire from my work because of my headache.
