2006 Brain Foundation Research Grants
On Wednesday 27 September 2006, the Annual Research Grant Awards ceremony was held at the Great Hall in the University of Sydney. This year, the amount of each project was raised to $40,000 in order to provide more meaningful levels of support for the successful projects. It is envisaged the funding base will be gradually lifted over the coming years thereby increasing the number of grants awarded. The national scientific committee deliberated according to the following process. After an inital round of ratings, the applications were graded into rankings, they were then reviewed to reach concensus about the finalist.
