Applying for Research Funding

The Brain Foundation has been impacted enormously by firstly the bushfires which resulted in our regular and new supporters redirecting their donations to the numerous bushfire appeals. Now, the Covid-19 pandemic has further reduced our financial ability to fund new grants in the immediate future. Under these unprecedented circumstances and after much consideration after gaining professional advice we have decided to temporarily put on hold the research application process for 2020. This has been an extremely difficult decision, particularly as 2020 is our 50th anniversary of funding research, however, it is our only option at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation over the coming weeks / months and update our scientific and medical communities.

Any current researchers who are on our database will be notified by email of this update, however, if you do not receive a notification and would like to be added to the researchers’ database, please email requesting to have your details included for future correspondence.
