We thank everyone in the Brain Foundation North West Committee for their hard work putting on this annual event.
Everyone has a brain and everyone can benefit from supporting the Brain Foundation annual Christmas Fair at the Tamworth Racecourse on Sunday 19th November.
This amazing Christmas Fair gets better every year, with new stalls offering a variety of gifts that will surprise and delight when unwrapped on the big day. The family can enjoy the cool, green gardens of the Tamworth Racecourse while listening to live music.
Every year the fair raises thousands of dollars, which are donated directly to an Australian scientist conducting research on the brain. The Brain Foundation provides the platform to receive and deliver funding to scientists who have applied for grants. The costly exercise of neurological research is valued by the community, which benefits from improved treatment of diseases such as dementia and Parkinson’s, or better care after a stroke or brain injury. The dedicated, local committee has their own stall at the fair with dozens of homemade cakes, biscuits and other treats on offer. Christmas puddings and fruit cakes are a specialty this year.
Many donations are gratefully received from local businesses for the wonderful raffle prizes.
Come to the Fair on Sunday 19 November and be entertained while you shop. Entry is just $3, with kids under 12 free. The Tamworth Racecourse has plenty of parking, it’s wheelchair and pram friendly, and the Fair goes from 9am to 3pm. Please note there are no EFTPOS machines at the racecourse, but most stall holders have their own EFTPOS facilities.
